Project Overview
This was a reverse engineering project focused on a mechanical temperature control knob from a 90s vehicle. It has a rack and pinion that drives a Bowden cable to actuate the blend door in an HVAC system. The spur gear was modeled with a parametric involute curve. Part modeling, assembly, and motion studies were done in SolidWorks.
